The biggest yardsale weekend in Camas is always the first weekend in June. I always head to this upper scale neighborhood sale first. It's where I bought my living room furniture 3 yrs ago and today I found a dining room table
. I have been wanting a new one for a long time. I don't like what I have been seeing in the stores, or what I do like is WAY too expensive for me right now. I thought I would find an older one and paint and distress it black. But LOOK! I found a beautiful off white shabby chic one today with 4 chairs for $200! It was our last stop. Cute little eclectic lady from California said it originally belonged to Katherine Hepburn. Who knows if that's true, but that's my story and I'm stickin to it. I will be recovering the seats. Of course the fabric I want is out of stock. If you see any Waverly Bee Dazzler in Ebony, please let me know.
The other treasures I found today were from my favorite house. I always head there first. Coincidently my neighbor Joy was telling me about a client who was an interior decorator and we should go there first. It was the same house I always go too. Since we were so special, we got a tour of her home. Her home that is selling for 1.6 mil. Let's just say, AMAZING! I picked up the hurricanes for $2 each, the topiary tree for $5 and the fruit garland for $5. Joy bought an amazing buffet.
Such fun!

That is an AWESOME table! WAY WAY cooler than mine! What a great find and for $200. That's a steal of a deal! I love garage sales! Especially the kind that have this level of things to sell!
I love the table and chairs! Awesome find.
I can't find an email address for you, so I'm responding here... all my post titles are song lyrics. So once a month I go back and document the singer, song, album and year the album was released. I do that mainly so when I'm old a senile and I can see what kind of music was constantly streaming through my brain.
Rock on Kim!!! Wonderful wonderful finds at those garage sales! My best find was a couple years ago (if you check out my recent Studio Friday post you'll see a picture) of my table! I paid $20 for it and it's one of those reading tables from elementary school...that desk is the best for my scrapbooking!!!
TFS!
love, love, love that table and chair set!!! and the fact that kh may have owned it, makes it perfect!
ok, I couldn't even post a comment on this, because I was GREEN with ENVY! Don't care if it was Hepburn's or not, that is an awsome find! Glad you found such great things (but I'm still green!)
That table and chairs is the deal of the century....so have table envy now! I NEVER get that lucky at yard sales...I need to start going with you!
What an awesome table you found! I love it!!! And your other bargains are great too but that table rocks. I'd stick with that story, too! :)
Oh my word! LOVE the table! If I would have known, I would have been in Camas! Man, there was nothing up my way in the Gorge!
I found your blog through Ali's Happiness Today blog. :)
